Paul V. Eakle has rented the back rooms over the drug store for a Commercial Art studio. Mr. Eakle has been appointed by the government as custodian of the air mail field at McGirr and begins his new work Friday, June 20.

Paul Eakle, attendant at the emergency landing field near McGirr, which is being maintained for the government, has had many visitors since the air mail service has been put into effect.

Mr. Eakle’s duties necessitate the lighting of the beacon light and the outline lights of the field at 7:30 during the summer months, and extinguished about an hour and a half later. The lights are again lighted in the morning from four until five thirty for the guidance of the east-bound plane
