This intersection station is the airway beacon designated as 40b on the Klamath Falls (V-1) Aeronautical Chart. It is located on a low bare hill about 1 mile SW of Roseburg and about 0.2 mile w of the Umpqua river, and is visible all over the city. a standard airway beacon, a steel structure supporting a revolving light.

Station Recovery (1992) Recovery Note by National Geodetic Survey 1992 this intersection station is located on Mt Nebo 1.9 MI (3.1 KM) south of The Roseburg Muni Airport AND 0.7 MI (1.1 KM) West Of The Douglas County Court House in Roseburg. It is a standard double-ended rotating airways beacon, flashing green and clear lights, mounted atop a skeleton steel tower that is painted alternately with three red and two white sections.
