What is a UV haze filter?

• A UV haze filter is used to reduce atmospheric haze by absorbing the ultraviolet light.  It produces clearer scenic photographs, but has no effect on indoor photos. 
  It also serves as an effective lens protector, as I mentioned earlier under quick tips.
