Observations and Notes

Barnard S. Kemter, a member of EAA 402 sent these photos and explained that he power washed the arrow and applied about 3 coats of yellow paint to it.
Now it stands out from the air as can be seen in the photos.  Phase II is to paint the generator shed this summer. Yellow with black horizontal black band.

Newark, Ohio (C-P site No. 2).—An intermediate landing field is in operation at this site, located approximately 4 miles southwest of Newark. A 24-inch beacon light, 1,000,000 candlepower, shows 6 rotations per minute. Two green course lights flash characteristic: Dot, dot, dash (. ._ ). The field is in condition for landing. The perimeter of the field has been outlined by boundary lights for night landings; yellow field boundary markers have also been installed to outline the perimeter for day landings.
