Observations and Notes

The Danville arrow is located on a cattle ranch southwest of the Milan arrow.  The arrow can be seen from the road, on the other side of a barb-wire fence.  We were unable to locate any owners so we could gain access to the arrow itself. 

This arrow is complete but in very poor condition, with multiple cracks and overgrown with weeds.  The arrow appears to be approximately 57 feet in length.

The pilot would approach the tail of the arrow on a compass heading of 53° (NE), and then exit the arrow on a compass heading of 53° (NE).

I have been flying a portion of the route in Kansas in my airplane. Here are a couple of shots of the Danville Arrow The first was taken March 2018 and the second was taken December 2017. Heavy construction equipment is removing soil just to the East of the arrow but the arrow remains untouched as of April. I tried to include the shadow of my Citabria in one of the photos.
